Algebra I Honors Teacher: Eighth Grade
Appointed in 2005
I chose St. George because it provided the opportunity for me to develop a middle-school math program that best prepares students for high school. It provides an environment of positive learning and allows students to grow both academically and personally. In addition, Saint George allows for a curriculum program that enriches a variety of learning styles.
I am continually involved in educational professional development. I travel most summers through my collegiate studies to 3rd world countries and review their educational programs. My travels have included diagnostic studies at Saint Julia's Orphanage in Mexico, Mother Theresa's Hospice of the Dying and Orphanage in India and involvement with Pro-Peru building stoves in underdeveloped areas.
I bring to Saint George a challenging curriculum, providing my children with the analytical and critical thinking skills needed for their continuing education. My experiences allow a variety of teaching techniques to meet a variety of learning styles. As a teacher, I uphold myself to and model the same high standards and expectations that I elicit from my classroom.
